This week is Dying Matters Week and one of the ‘difficult’ subjects that Think2Speak counsellors, trainers and the team as a whole have to talk about with the young people and their families who access our services is helping them come to terms with a loved one coming to the end of their lives or passing away suddenly.

Lincoln based social enterprise, Think2Speak hosted their inaugural conference Thurs 13th Oct in partnership with Bishop Grosseteste University, Streets Chartered Accountants and Wilkin Chapman LLP. Schools, colleges, univererties, charities, support organisations, councils and professionals came together to discuss the impact of investing in emotional wellbeing of young people.

“Schools are particularly well placed to be the hubs from which early intervention support for pupils with emerging mental health problems can be based,” Researcher Mr Thorley said. “But schools must be able to regularly access high-quality specialist support from mental health professionals and counsellors.
